Mellemrum = gap(s)
Mellemrum is a scarf worked in an all-over Lace Pattern. The scarf is reversible, fluffy, feminine, and quickly worked on big needles. The pleats make the scarf easy to drape. Decorate the scarf afterward and tie some colored/natural yarn knots to bright up the delicate and elegant scarf.
Sizes:
- The narrow scarf: 17.5cm x 220cm/ 7” x 86.5”
- The wide scarf: 32cm x 220cm/ 12.5” x 86.5”
Gauge:
14 sts x 14 rows over 10cm x 10cm/4” x 4” with 6.0mm/US 10 needles in Lace Pattern after wet blocking
Gauge is not crucial but will affect the size of the scarf and amount of yarn. You can work the scarf on smaller or larger needles or choose another yarn quality (either thinner or thicker yarn): the choice is yours!
Yarn: 200 (450) m / 218 (492) y Chunky Mohair from Kokon yarn, bulky, 78% Goat – Mohair, 13% Wool, 9% Manufactured Fibers – Nylon / Polyamide, 100m/109y per 50g/1.76 oz
Optional! Small amounts of Chunky mohair for tying knots (decoration) in another color
Other yarns can be used, but keep in mind that using other yarn qualities might lead to a different overall look of the scarf. It can also affect the amount of yarn needed.
